Slim

I installed a 40GB drive as a slave, but only 6GB of it is
available. W2K says 33.3 MB is used. The drive does not
have any jumpers. My BIOS is only recognizing 6GB also.
What do I need to do?

Slim - you need to:
- provide more facts about that drive. How is attached?
Internal/USB?

- say how you know it's a slave, if no jumpers.

- check that any manufacturer-installed on-drive
software is deleted.(Such software is often present,
to "ease" install. This can prevent BIOS from seeing
the full surface; it's a "false drive table". Check
the materials that came with the drive.)

- contact the mfr's tech support for a quick solution.

- post back in this thread if more help req'd; include
details of failed fixes/results.
