incomplete reinstall HELP!!!

I was recently having some issues with my computer so I
decided to try do do a reinstall of XP to see if that
would help. I got up to the 4th stage (installing windows)
starts at 39 minutes remaining goes down to 34 minutes
remaining then reboots, and goes back to the 39 minutes
remaining and does this all over again. Also I cannot
exit XP setup. If I try to restart the computer it just
starts from where it left off. I can't figure out what to
do HELP!!!

Hi Kevin, been there, done that, I got out of it by downloading the set up files
to place on floppies from another computer and then went from there. Hope your
backups are up to date.

Depends on the issues. Perhaps you have a hard drive with bad sectors or
faulty ram.
