Incompatibility with YAHOO Companion

Using the YAHOO Companion toolbar "search" always results
in an error dialog VISUAL C++ ERROR: The application has
requested the RUNTIME to terminate it in an unusal way"
followed by the startup path to MIE 6.0. IE then crashes.

Anyone else having this problem. I downloaded the
latest 'companion' tool bar but problem still exists. I
finally uninstalled the 'companion'

The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
It appears that I have both Java(Sun) and MS VM on the PC. After
disabling/unchecking Java(Sun) the runtime error ceased in IE6. Source:
