Do you think that a certain type of email is setting this option? If
this happens again, I might just disable her the ability to go into
the Program Options of outlook.

There's absolutely no way an incoming message can modify that Outlook
setting.

Brian,

Thanks for replying and for clearing this up. It definely appears that the
user is disabling this feature.

I just started having this problem of automatically converting HTML to plain
text and moving to Junk Email folder. Can it be related to the latest Junk
Email filter update I downloaded yesterday? (KB911611) It seems pretty silly
for Microsoft to give you the option of receiving email in HTML but then
changing it automatically for you with this update. I checked the update
description and it didn't mention anything about doing that. I also looked
and the option to convert all messages to plain text in Options was not
checked.

If you're looking at the message in the Junk E_mail folder, then, yse, all
you'll see is Plain Text. This is by design. Move it to another folder if
you want it rendered. I think you have your chronology wrong. Messages
don't get changed to Plain Text and then moved to the Junk E-mail folder,
they get moved to the Junk E-mail folder, which then shows the messages to
you in Plain Text. Perhaps your real issue is that too many messages are
being flagged as junk.

It's related to Office SP2 which implemented this "Plain Text in the Junk
E-mail folder" feature.
