include page

Hi,

I am working on using the feature "include page" on my site. I have created
a menu bar on a new doc in FP and saved it. I went to my home page and put
the curser where I would like the page to be inserted and followed the
instruction of adding this web component. But my problem is that it only adds
the page to my home page and not all of my pages. What do I need to do?

Thanks in advance.

An include page only includes the content into the page you insert it into.
It cannot automatically insert it into every page, that's not what it does.
Dynamic Web Templates (DWTs) are more designed to do this sort of things as
their job is to assist in creating a consistant look and feel by having
pages use a standard template as their basis with various regions that can
have customized content on each page. You would still have to apply a
template to the various pages in your site, but it's worth looking into as
it's more flexible than just an include bot.

You must insert the include page separately on each page.
Then, when you make future changes to the include page, it will
automatically update pages.

You need to create a "Template Page" - Name it 1.html or something...right
click it and choose "do not publish"

Then when it has all that "stuff" that you want on every page in it... just
use that as a template and "Save as" your new page name...

hth.
