My Inbox is showing (3) next to it but there is no messages to view or look at?

Click on the Inbox, then View, then Current View, then Show All Messages.

If this doesn't help, click on Tools, then Send And Receive, then Receive
All.

View Current view
Check "Show all messages" and nothing else.
