Inbox, Sent Items, Calendar, RSS in PST Files

Maurice Jeter

Hello,

One of our Outlook 2007 users has been having problems with Sync Issues
messages recently, so one troubleshooting step we took was to remove his
Outlook profile (including .OST file), and set it back up from scratch.
While we didn't have any problems with that, he mentioned that he now has
folders for Inbox, Sent Items, RSS Feeds and Calendar in his Personal Folders
group -- whereas he didn't before.
Unfortunately I didn't notice if these folders were actually present before
recreating his profile, but I know in my own PST folders, I have these
folders -- and they seem to be permanent.

Does anyone know if it is possible to hide these particular folders?

Thanks
M

If the person uses the Mail view of the Navigation Pane, he'll see only mail
folders. Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, etc. won't appear because they don't
contain mail items. Likewise, using the Contacts view will show only
folders contaiing contact items, using the Calendar view will show only
folders contaiing calendar items, etc. I suspect he was using the Mail view
before, but the Folder List view (which will show all folders) now. They
still were in the folder set, whether he saw them or not.

Well darn, that may just be the problem. I know I turned on Folder List for
him, so he could see the Public Folders. I'll check that - Thank You Brian!
