inbound FTP question on XP

Troy Bruder

Hello,

I have a XP Pro workstation that I need to allow someone to FTP into... I
want to setup a local account on the XP machine for FTP transfers...

However, I only want this one SINGLE account to be used for FTP'ing.. I
don't want people to be able to log into FTP using their domain account..

How can I configure FTP/XP to only allow access from this single local user
account?

Thanks,
Troy

Dunno I would not bother trying its bound to be next to impossible to
set up and full of security holes.

Use a FTP server - Bullet Proof FTP, Cute FTP

Even these servers are prone to attract hackers so should only be
on-line for short periods. I use Bullet Proof for the same purpose and
put it on line only when I have to. WS FTP Pro is probably the best
FTP server for home use around but its difficult to set up and
expensive, Cute and Bullet Proof are easier to use and reasonably
priced.
