"inaccessible_boot_device" during upgrade

I am trying to upgrade from 98SE to 2000 pro. After the
machine reboots the first time I get a blue screen with
this inaccessible_boot_device. It instructed's me to
restart the computer to contuine the installation. Then it
happens all over again. I've restarted 6 times and no
luck. Any ideas???

What kind of machine is this? 7B are usually a result of missing harddrive
controller drivers, so if you are on a RAID or IDR-RAID card you would need
to specify that driver. Also, filter drivers from things such as antivirus
can cause similar issues.
