INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

Bob

After loading a Critical update when I rebooted the system, I get a blue
screen saying STOP" 0X0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. The system worked
fine prior. I found that if I replace the NTOSKRNL.EXE with a backup
(different size), the system will boot again but then wants to do the
critical updates again in which it replaces the NTOSKRNL.EXE with one that
wont boot and I have to replace with backup again. What could be causing
this ?
Thanks

Hi Bob,

Which NTOSKRNL.exe file did you replace? also where did the replacement file
come from, another machine?
