I recieve the error INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. When I
connect a CD-ROM as the slave off of my hard drive. I
have other computers (Same Brand and Model) set up this
same way without problem. Any suggestions on what I can
try to resolve this?

Your system is probably installed on a drive other
than drive C:. When you connect the CD ROM,
the drive letters change, hence the error message.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I have the hard
drive with win 2000 set as the master and the CD-ROM set
as the slave. Shouldn't it automatically set the CD-ROM
as D

You need to make a distinction between "disk" and "drive".
You can set a "disk" as master, and each disk can have
one or several "drives".

Which drive is Win2000 installed on your machine? Is it
drive C:, or is it drive D:?

Most likely a defective CDROM drive. Could also be a bad IDE cable, or
incorrect drive jumper settings.
