In Word 2000, how can I remove (automatically?) file properties?

For confidentiality reasons, I want to be able to remove some (or all) of the
information contained in File Properties. Is there a way of doing this,
please.

In Word 2003, there's a specific Security Option for this ("Remove personal
information from file properties on save"). And I believe the Remove Hidden
Data tool works only for Word 2002 and 2003 (see

So I guess you're reduced to doing this manually or with a macro; see “HOW
TO: Minimize Metadata in Microsoft Word 2000 Documents†at
