In the Open dialog box, how do I list my documents alphabetically

After I go to the File menu and select Open, the dialog box appears.
Usually, it would list My Documents in alphabetical order starting with
folders and continuing on to documents. However, now it displays only the
files that I have most recently opened. How do I get my files to be listed
in alphabetical order again?

In the upper right corner of the dialog box, to the left of the word Tools,
is a drop down menu than should give you the choices you want.

Right-click in an open area of the window and choose Arrange Icons > By
Name.
