In PPt how is sound set with animation

I am using PPT 2003 and am having difficulty getting sound to be in sync with
points as they appear in the presentation. The sound occurs after the point
sentence appears. I had no difficulty with this at all using PPT 97
but am baffled here.

Ah, PPT and "sync" shouldn't be used in the same sentence if you're trying
to keep a straight face.

The animation timing mechanism as well as the way PPT handles sound is
different in 2003 than 97. Perhaps that's part of the difference you're
seeing.
