in a network ican see one share printer

hello
i have a network with pc in win98 and XP

i have a share laser printer in a computer with OS winXP
this printer is share.. and i installed excpept of the drivers of winxp and
the drivers of win98

there is a computer with os win98.
this computer "sees" all the network.
when i try to " add a network printer" from the computer with win98 i can
see the computer with the share printer but icant see the printer

....

We fought with this same issue for months and I just tried (WITH SUCCESS) as
a last resort uninstalling the printer on my XP computer.

Then with the 98 machine up and running (don't know if that matters, but
they were both running when I did it), I re-installed it on the XP computer.

Once I did that, I re shared it and then my 98 computer could see and
install it. I did need the original CD that came with my printer though for
the drivers.
