improperly closed files

I have been using Outlook 2007 since it was released earlier this year. When
I start it at the beginning of the day, I very commonly receive a message
that the file was improperly closed and the file needs to be checked. In
almost every instance, the file was closed by closing Outlook. So, my
question: why would I continue to get this message (as it takes several
minutes to check the file each day).

Have any of the MVP's weighed in on this problem? I've now seen a number of
posts regarding this issue.
