impossible to save any configuration nor bookmarks

Hello,
I have the last version of FireFox, but I can'use it, because every
time I quit it, the next tima I launch it, every modifications have
been erased, I can't save anything, even the home page, the language,
etc. Is there any "magic" thing to do ?

You installed FireFox and you're running the program, right? You're
not running the installer every time? (Some people have actually done
this with various programs.)

Make certain that there are no problems with permissions of the file
prefs.js, in the profile directory. If Firefox cannot write to it,
prefs will be lost each time you quit.

A user recently had the same problem you are having and found that the
permissions were ok but the file had become corrupted. Try opening it
in notepad or some other text editor to see if it looks ok.
