Impossible to restore files from the Wastebasket - Windows XP

M

MJ

I have a problem with my wastebasket. Even if the
properties are set so that I can restore deleted files
from it, the only thing I can do is empty the wastebasket.

If I try to open the wastebasket, it doesn't show deleted
files, and thus I can't restore them.

Can anyone help me with this matter?

Thanks

Your Recycle Bin could be corrupt. Usually the easiest fix, if in fact the
Recycle Bin is enabled for the drive you're using: With the Recycle Bin
CLOSED, right click the desktop Recycle Bin icon and then on the resulting
context menu left click Empty Recycle Bin. Then reboot your system. After
doing the above, when you delete a file or files, they should now appear in
the Recycle Bin, and if you click on a file to select it, and then click the
File menu and then click Restore, the file should restore.
