Importng Eudora 8.0.0b3 Files into Outlook 2003 SP3

I have several years of Eudora 8.0.0b3 email, stored in many folders and
sub-folders, often with attachments, that I'd like to import into Outlook
2003 SP3.

How can I do this in such a way as to preserve my category folders and
sub-folders and attachments?

My contact data is already on Outlook.

Does Eudora 8 use the same mail file format as Eudora 2, 3 or 4?
If so just use the Outlook Import function. You might like to test it on a
new profile first, to see if it does what you want...

I don't know. Eudora 8 is the 2nd (and possibly last) iteration of Eudora
after Qualcomm passed it on to Mozilla, who "extended" under the name of
Penelope and then "Thunderbirdized" in Eudora 8.

I imagine that there are quite a few people like me, who having,
effectively, been orphaned too long in a bastardized Eudora redo and also
wanting to use Windows Mobile to the fullest, want to consolidate everything
onto an MS platform.

Then just try it - if they are the same format then the import should work.
Is there a file for each mail folder with a *.toc extension?
