importing Word 2003 configuration to Word 2007

Hi,

Word 2003 saves macros and its customization (icon configurations) in the
template normal.dot.

Now, I installed Office 2007 and I have two questions:
1) Is it possible to import both (customization and the macros) from Word
2003 to Word 2007?
2) Where Word 2007 saves this information?

Thanks,

Which customisations do you have in mind? The user interfaces of the two
versions are radically different.
Macros by default are stored in the normal template (normal.dot in 2003,
normal.dotm in 2007)

Hi, Graham,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I found an easier way to import Word 2003 configurations to Word 2007:

I made a copy of Word 2003 normal.dot to the same directory where Word
2007normal.dotm is.
Renamed normal.dotm (for example, to normal-0.dotm) and opened Word 2007.
When I close Word 2007 it creates a new normal.dotm.

Opening Word 2007 again, all macros created in Word 2003 are working fine
and the Word 2003 buttons are in Word 2007 add-in tab, as shown in the
suggested link:
