Importing Video Clips

I recorded some videos on my phone and then transferred these to the PC. I
then opened up Windows Movie Maker and tried to import the videos (which were
in MP4 Format) into WMM. I received an error, and I noticed that Movie Maker
does not support these files.

So I downloaded a converter for MP4 files. I converted all my videos to MPEG
format since WMM allows these types of files.

I then tried importing the converted file, and I received this error message:

''The file _____ is not indexed and cannot be imported.''

What does this mean? I really want to import my videos into WMM, but I can't
find any other way.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

What did you use to convert to MPEG? It may have an option to index the
files... or use another conversion tool that does.
