I'm doing the same kind of thing except I have closer to 100 vhs tapes. This
may take the rest of my life to capture all of them. I'm burning to DVD+r
using WMV set at 2.1 NTSC. I'm gambing on the economic power and technical
expertise of microsoft moving the consumer electronics industry to support
wmv on stand alone DVD players. Most of my tapes are over 10 years old. I
started worrying that if I wait for the market place to sort this out, my
VHS tapes may start degrading too much.
