Importing Slide from one PPt presentation to another

I have copied one slide into a new presentation.

I have corporate template that I must use. It has brought elements( A
dotted line) from original slide onto new slide.
How do I remove the dotted line

Squashed Tom,

There is the "tab key" method of cycling through every object on a slide.

Open your presentation - repeatedly press the "tab" key on your keyboard
(the key next to Q).

Can powerpoint select the dotted line?

If not - it may be on something called the "slide master". To reach the
"slide master"

view menu > masters > slide master

again can you select it?
