Importing Signatures & Stationery

I had the same set of signatures and stationery on my dekstop at work and on
my laptop at my home office, all in html with Word as the editor. Office
computer had to have the drive reformatted and none of these files were
saved. I have e-mailed copies f the stationery and the signatures snf
placed then in the folders for Signatures and stationery but I can't seem to
get OL to recognize them. What to do?

OL 2002. I had assumed that the files should be kept in the same place(s)
as in OL2003 on my laptop. I started to suspect the location might be
different. Since there is no OL equivalent of Word's Location of Files I
created a test signature, gave it a name, saved it and then used Search to
see where the dickens it landed. In addition to a folder under c:\Documents
and Settings that looked like the logical spot (e.g., c:\Documents and
Settings\JWM\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures apparently that desktop
was somehow configured with an extra folder with a weird name, so that the
true location was c:\Documents and Settings\weirdname\Application
Data\Microsoft\Signatures. Tricky.

I actually figured this out a few minutes after I posted my question. But
it took so long for the post to appear that I could not add a note that I
had already found the answer.

Outlook version? Exactly where did you put the files?

Here's a little trick to help with that next time (if there is a next time): Choose Start | Run, then type in %userprofile% and click OK. A Windows Explorer window will open, displaying the folders associated with your own user profile.
