Importing problem

When I import an mpeg 2 into MM it flips it upside down???
Any ideas how to stop that from happening. I am trying to reduce the file
size a bit, but when I import the clip it is upside down.

MM does not work with mpegs, try using another programme, such as dvd
shrink, or if you want it in MM, convert it to a wmv file

I have a Sony Handycam 105. Mini-DVD. I am trying to get the video off of
the DVD and onto my harddrive, or at least transfer it directly from the DVD
to Movie Maker. I have gone into My Computer, right clicked explore, then
tried to drag and drop from My computer into Movie Maker. I get a circle
with a line through it symbol. The video will not drag and drop. (I am only
trying to drag and drop the "VOB" file sections.) Any ideas? Sincerely, AT
