Importing Partially-Exported .pst file into/from Outlook 2003

E

Erich

I exported ~80% of personal email folders (~180 MB) when the disk became
full. I did not have the opportunity to re-export.

When I import the file into my home Outlook 2003, nothing happens (after
I've gone through all the screens). How can I fix the file so that it can be
imported? I won't have the chance to reimport.

Thanks - Erich

What did you export the PST file to? If you exported it to a USB key or a CD,
etc. then you have to copy it to the local harddrive that you have Outlook
on. Remove the read-only attribute, then open Outlook. Click on File > Open
and browse to the PST. Sometimes import/export can corrupt the file.

If you find that the PST is corrupted, search for scanpst.exe on your
harddrive. Double-click it and follow the instructions. If during the scan of
your PST it finds errors, repeat the scan after it's done until no further
errors are found.
