at the bottom right on your menu bar. Click custom then
highlight "outlook contacts" and click on change. Click
on handheld overrights desktop--ok. No synch and you are
in business.
When you set up your synch program (assuming you got PocketMirror with your
Palm), did you set it up to synch with Outlook or with Palm Desktop? If not
Outlook, re-install Palm Desktop software and this time pick the Outlook
option (Outlook must be installed first!). Then all you do is synchronize as
normal and your contacts from the Palm Pilot will go right into Outlook.
Make sure you tell it to "synhcronize" or "handheld overwrites desktop" and
NOT "desktop overrights handheld"--if you chose that last option Outlook
will delete your Palm contacts!
Back up your Palm data before you fool around with any of this just in case.
It is simple, and I've done it more than once, but you never know.
