transferring address book from my hand held palm Vx to outlook 200

I recently purchased a Blackjack II cell phone, so that I could have one
thing to keep up with, rather than a cell phone and my palm pilot.

I was told to open outlook, then to hook up my palm pilot to the computer,
and something would come up that would guide me through the process of
transferring the info into outlook, but that didn't happen. I need to know
how to synchronize my palm info into outlook 2003.

I think that if I can get my palm address book (not my calendar) into
outlook, I can plug my phone into my computer and get the info on my phone.

Thanks

In no way is this an Outlook question. Ask whomever supports your sync
software for the correct instructions.

Depends entirely on the software that came with your phone. Outlook doesn't
actually participate in the synching except as a data repository. The
actual synching is up to the sync software.

I understand what you are saying. But, can you not synch your palm pilot
info into outlook?

Sure, but that hardly makes this an Outlook issue. Brian just explained this
all to you, and I quote, "Outlook doesn't
actually participate in the synching except as a data repository. The
actual synching is up to the sync software. "

Thanks for the info, but my real question is "Is there a way to get my palm
address book into outlook 2003?"

First place to start searching for answers is with the vendor if you no
longer have the documentation that came with your device especially when
absolutely only the "brand name" is provide regarding the device with no
other detailed info. To quote from the site link provided below:

"Depending on your Palm device, you may be using Palm Outlook Conduits or
Chapura's PocketMirror to sync with Outlook"
