Unable to import Contacts from Comcast Webmail to Outlook 2007

I am running XP and Office 2007. My e-mail is provided by Comcast and is web
based. I want to export all my address book contacts and their information
from Comcast to Outlook 2007 so I can sync my iPhone to Outlook 2007.

Comcast will only export to 4 formats -- .ABA for Palm Pilot, .CSV for MS
Outlook Express, .CSV for MS Outlook, and .LDIF for Netscape. The problem is
Outlook 2007 WILL NOT import any .CSV files.

How do I get all mu address book information from Comcast to Outlook 2007 --
OR how do I get Outlook 2007 to accept a .CSF file for an older version of
Outlook?

Outlook 2007 will most certainly import CSV files. Explain why you imagine
it will not. You seem to be deeply confused.

I assume Joe is confused by Outlook 2007. I too cannot import a csv file
into Outlook 2007 as I can into Excel 2007. Outlook returned the message

"An error has occurred in the Microsoft Outlook Translator while intializing
a translator to build a field map.

Internal Error: Unable to load File Access Engine (.Fae) DLL, additional
Outlook translators can be installed from the ValuPack."

Which appears to be a message relating to the ValuPak directory on the
Office 97 installation disk. My machine did have Office 97 installed which I
removed after getting the above message. That didn't work, so I removed and
reinstalled Office 2007, no joy, I still get the message.

Have you seen this or do you have a solution?

I too am unable to import outllok 2007 cvs files into outlook 2007. I have
installed 2007 on three different computers, different manufactures. The
only way I was able to put contacts into one comupter was to import into
outllook express and then export from outlook express and finally into
outllok 2007. I only have outlook express on one computer so this isn't a
complete work around for me...

Explain why you can't. Outlook 2007 certainly has that ability in its Import
Wizard.
