Importing Movies Into PowerPoint

I am using PowerPoint 2000

Have inserted a .wmv file into the 7th slide.

We've played the PowerPoint slide show on three separate computers, two with
Windows XP operating system and one with Windows ME operating system. When
the slide show gets to the 7th slide, the .wmv movie will only play on one of
the XP operating systems.

Why is this? Is there a way to get this .wmv file to play?

Incidentally, the only computer that will play the .wmv file is the computer
that has it stored on its hard drive. Could this have something to do with
it?

I am so not an expert, but I can chime in to tell you that the media file
must be present on the hard drive for it to play.

When you build the presentation, be sure to have the ppt file and all of the
movie or other media files in the same folder. When you transfer the
presentation, transfer the entire folder, not just the ppt file. Without the
media file, all you are showing (at best) is a snapshot of the first frame
of your movie.

Hope this helps.
