Importing Mail messaged into Outlook express

Problem: After updrading to OSX I am having problems importing
existing mail messages into Outlook Express 5.0.2 and into Mail.
1)With Outlook express file/import/and locating the Identies folder I
get this error Did not finish importing data from your curren program
may finish later....???

2) Trying to import to Mail. Using the import wizzard it gives me from
Outlook Express/ then folder options Deleted, Drafts, Inbox and Sent.
It will not give me the option to browse to the Identies folder.

Any help on importing my existing mail messages will be greatly
appreciated.
