importing from dv cancorder alas I getdarker film clips Help?

importing from dv getting dark clips... I knew this had been addressed here
at some point but have not seen where the resolve is... except a coupe of
questions...

I'm having the same problem. VirtualDub is struggling on my
computer...something about being unable to show a preview b/c no RGB drivers.
Any other ideas on lightening the capture??

I guess the largest mystery is ** why do the clips get darker** when they
go into mm2.

great article... but
I am still trying to know why MM2 makes it darker than it is in or on the
camera or a monitor from the camera...

help?
