Importing files to database manager

When I define a component, I include files that need to be added to the
target. I include a source path and a destination path.
When I import the component into the database, I check the "copy
repository file to repository root". I thought that this would copy the
source files to the repository, but that only works if the files are in
the same directory as the SLD.
Could someone explain the way to get these files into the repository?

When you create your component sld, when you create the repository, bottom of
the repository properties page, set the Source Path to the location of the
files to be copied over.

Two issues with this. First it copies all the files from the source to
the repository, not just the files needed by the sld. Second, it
doesn't look at the source directory in the component. So if you have
files from more than one directory, it will not find them.

One more thing. What is the purpose of the source path for the file in
the component if it isn't for the file to be copied?

Bill,

Please keep in mind that Repositories are flat. (one directory with a bunch of files)
You set up Source name and Target path to make sure a file gets to the right location in the build.
