Importing favorites denied by wizard

Having to reinstall IE 6, I can't get the Importing wizard
to accept or find where my Favorites file is located even
though I give it the precise location. Any workarounds out
there?

Did you export them from the old installation?
Are you selecting the HTM file that created?
