Importing/Exporting .pst files (Contacts only)

We are creating a master contact list for an email marketing campaign
using Outlook 2003 and have recently encountered some issues.
Originally I created three different contact list (.pst) from
different lists. I exported the "Clean" lists to our server. Now when
we try to import them into Outlook2003 to create one "Master" none of
the three will import. They seem to show up, but only as a "Personal"
folder with no contents. Any ideas or advice?

You must have exported then incorrectly or you copied the PSTs while Outlook
was open.

In general, you don't export/import to transfer data from one Outlook
instance to another. Moreover, there may be no reason to make separate
PSTs. If you would explain the process more fully, including what you'd
like to accomplish, and state the source of the addresses, perhaps someone
can suggest a more robust method.

As I said we are creating an Email Marketing list and we are doing
that by collecting Contact lists (.pst) from all the various people in
our organization. After clearing out personal names and such, we have
now come up with a number of different lists. I have now managed to
create a first pass General list by dragging and dropping, but there
are still a lot more lists to fine tune, so if there are better
ways...I'm all ears.
