Cannot call up contacts from the task windows in outlook 2003

Hello All,
I had an issue with outlook, so I used the procedure to recover the inbox.
After that all email went into the recovered mailbox instead of the inbox. I
exported everything to a .pst file blew away my profile then made a new
profile importing the .pst back, and all seemed well.
My problem is that I have multiple tasks defined. Before the export / import
when I clicked on a task the contact info in the task could be clicke do n
and it would take me to that contact info. Now when I click on contacts in
the task window I get the error message "Cannot perform the requested
operation. The command selected is not valid for this receipient" When i
click help i get suggestion for fixing this issue but they deal with
exchange, and we do not use exchange. If i go directly to contacts I see
them displayed. Is therer a way to relink the contacts to the task windows?

Thanks for any ideas

Do you have access to the _original_ PST? Importing is not a good way to
recover data. Instead use the methods outlined here:

Thanks for you time,
I did not import to restore the data, originally. As i stated I ran the
recovery procedure first but after that was done all my incoming mail went
to a recoverd folder that was automatically created when I performed the
recovery procedure. I the exported and imported to get the email to go into
the inbox folder.
What i really need now is to figure out why I cannot access the contacts
list from the task windows as i could before the export & import even though
the contacts list exist.
Thanks for any additional ideas

Because you have not enabled the folder as an address book or have not
correctly configured the Outlook Address Book service in your mail profile.

Right-click the Contacts folder, choose Properties, select the Outlook
Address Book tab, and check the box labeled "Show this folder as an e-mail
Address Book". If it's inactive and cannot be checked, then you'll need to
repair the Outlook Address Book service, usually by removing it from the
mail profile and adding it back in. Do this from the Mail applet in Control
Panel with Outlook closed.
