Importing Excel data into Access table

When I attempt to import Excel data into an existing Access table I receive
the error message, "Subscript out of range". What do I need to look for in
my Excel date or Access table to fix this error?

Hi-

I've run into that problem before, but only since having moved to
Access 2007. After making sure that there are the same number of
columns in the table and your excel sheet, and that the headings
match, and it still doesn't work, Exit out of Access and reopen Access
and try it again. The closing and then reopening has always fixed it
for me.

Cheers!

If you import into an existing ACCESS table, your EXCEL spreadsheet must
have the same field names in the same order in the first row of the
spreadsheet. Or, if your spreadsheet has no field names in the first row,
then your ACCESS table must use the field names F1, F2, F3, etc.
