Importing Error message (Outlook must close)

I get an error message when importing a .csv file into Outlook contacts.
Microsoft's suggestion was to update Office, which I did, but there was no
improvement.

I can import the file into Outlook Express and from there import into
Outlook, so there is nothing wrong with the file.

Has this happened to anyone?

You've told us nothing.
Exact steps used and exact error messages would be a place to start.
Include Outlook version.
