Importing Digital Audio from Digital TV box?

I plan to import digital audio from my UK Sky Digital satellite TV optical digital output. I have an audio card which will accept this and the digital audio input shows up as a capture option when I select the analog capture option when you open Movie Maker. If the digital audio source is a 5.1 digital source will Movie Maker capture this as a 5.1 audio file or will it be transcoded to a stereo audio file?

I doubt it, but why not try it and see anyway.

Kevin,

Movie Maker 2 supports only stereo, not 5.1, so it'll make it into a two
channel stereo file.

I didn't think that I would be able to capture 5.1 audio but I thought the question was worth asking
