Can bookmarks be imported from IE to Firefox? If so how? I cannot find a
way to do it.

It does it automatically when you install firefox - at least it did
when *I* installed firefox, YMMV.

I was using ver. 0.9.x.x. and when it installed it they didn't import. Then
I went to a ver. 1.0 Pre Release, they didn't import. I then updated to the
new ver. 1.0 and still didn't import. It's not so important to me, but I am
going to install the ver. 1.0 on my wife's computer, and I gotta get those
imported since I've been telling her how good Firefox was.
Thanks guys, you saved my day!!

The installation instructions located at the link below indicate
importing IE bookmarks is a part of the normal installation routine.
If you're installing Firefox to replace IE on your wife's computer,
you'll find it hard to miss the option to import IE bookmarks since
everything stops until you make a selection.

The upgrade from 0.9x to 1.0 is, of course, different. Because you
already had an existing version, there were certain 0.9x files that
needed to be copied, saved and pasted back over top of the files in
the new 1.0 release. Instructions for this were published on the
Firefox site. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that you had the chance
to see those instructions and it may now be too late since the
original 0.9x files have been overwritten and gone forever.
