I have inherited these two files. They were done in 1997. They are lists of addresses and information on individuals for T-Bird sailboats. I have no access to Access. Is there anyway to get them into a format that Excel can use? I need to use them to update a our membership roster. I have Office 2000 for Mac

Thanks for any help

Dave

Hi
not sure if this works without Access installed (but I think it should
do):
- use 'Data - Import External Data - Import Data'
- select the *.mdb file (the ldb file can be deleted)

Excel does not recognize either of these two files, e.g., their icon is faded and cannot be recognized. Also the Mac version seems keyed to FileMaker

Any other ideas?

Hi
do you have any other database application with which you could try to
open these files?. Also asking a friend who does have MS Access would
be a good idea. He could convert these files

Can you open mdb files on a PC that were created on a Mac?

Were the files created on a Mac or PC?

How big (bytes) are the files?

Have at look at Data Menu > Get External Data > Create New Query > M
Acces
