Importing a 195k ical.ics (ICalendar) fails.. Any ideas?

The file was exported from a Mac with the help of
http://helpdesk.doit.wisc.edu/page.php?cat=1003&id=2915 & the utilities found
on that page.
The export from MM went fine and produced the ical.ics file. In trying to
import this into outlook for the PC, the operation simply failed, and I'm at
a loss as to why...
Any help or insight would be much appreciated.

Are you using the File | Import and Export Wizard?

This was done through the normal File menu Import/Export utility

Sounds like there's some incompatibility, but without seeing at least part
of the file, it's impossible to even guess what it might be. You might try
editing the file down to one item to import and see if that works either
through the Wizard or by running it directly.
