update KB941649 will not load onto my computer..
since adding a few updates a couple days ago, Ive had USB problems.. NVidia
Raid problems.. and a CD burner running at 1997 speeds
Havent fixed those.. but this one is almost more confusing..
-since every time I turn on my comp.. the little 10 min timer starts telling
me it will restart the comp for this important update
-Im always hopeful this means a fix to the other problems vista recently
blessed me with..
-I restart.. the comp boots.. then before windows comes up, reboots itself a
second time.. when windows finally returns, I get the "update failed" notice
-Checking the updater.. it says "Error Details: Code 80041002
....but of course, the help database doesnt have this listed
I should also note, that after the first time this update and another
failed, I attempted to load each straight from microsoft without the updater..
My update history log shows both kb941600 AND kb941649 as having already
been successfully loaded..
so why does it want me to reapply the update?
and why isnt it working?
and where is the fix for my Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller having a
"Code 12" error since I applied the other updates?
and why cant i just restore to another point until microsoft fixes these ham
and egg errors?
and.. why do all of the microsoft customer service options cost 50$? cant
even send them a "your new update broke my comp" message.. without paying
them?
