Hello...

I have a new problem with Front Page. I'm trying to download a full copy of
a site from my ISP to my desktop computer so I'll have a complete backup. I
have a shopping cart on the site and some of the order information is
different online than on my computer.

However, when I use the "Import Wizard" to create a new site, it's only
giving me PART of the site -- not all. I spoke w/ my ISP because it's the
same site that had permissions corrupted, and he said to check to be sure I
don't need to clear the cache in FP. I didn't know there was a cache. Any
suggestions for me on this?

As always, Thanks in Advance!!

Don't "import" your site as import doesn't
move the entire site to your computer.

Open the live site in FrontPage and then select
File > Publish Web... and publish the site
back to your computer.

Thanks Steve. I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I find no "Option"
to publish FROM the Internet back to my local site. I found in the "help"
file a sentence or so saying that could be done, but it didn't say how. What
am I missing here?

Again...TIA...Gail

Gail:
You didn't say which version of FP you are using, so here are the how-to's
for the 3 latest versions:

HOW TO: Publish a FrontPage 2000 Web from Remote Server to Local Computer

HOW TO: Copy a FrontPage 2002 Web Site to a Local Hard Disk

Kathleen ... Thanks SO much! For the record, I'm using FP 2002 but good
thing you sent all the links becuase otherwise I would never five figured
out that I could open the INTERNET Web directly into FP! WOW. So ... is this
how one works on pages directly online also? I've always wondered how that
happens. Would you mind to tell me where to go to find out more about that
too?

Many, many thanks!
Gail
