Import Spreadsheet Wizard

I am trying to import an excel file into access using the
import spreadsheet wizard. The Field Options Box has Data
Type Greyed out. I need to select the data type as access
is selecting number for me which is corrupting the data
and giving me errors on inport. HELP.

You may want to create a blank table in Access first with the field names
and datatypes preset before completing the import. The important thing is
you need to make sure that the Excel columns datatype are datatypes Access
will recognize.

Just be sure when you conduct the import you check the box that the first
row contains field names, if applicable.
