import spec in Access 2000

How do I create an import specification file in access 2000, the data I want
to import is a linked table. The wizard only displays the local tables (not
the linked ones)
(It works fine in Access 2003). Is it possible to create a specification
file using the import wizard where the data needs to be imported into a
linked table?

If not, Is there any workaround for this?
Thanks

Mohan,

One workaround is to make a copy of your original .mdb (which contains
the import specification), then delete / import / link objects (tables,
queries forms, reports, macros, code modules) as required, in order to
arrive to your desired new database. It will still contain the import
specification!

Thanks for the reply..

I copied the mdb to another PC with Access 2000 and it worked fine. It
seems like an installation issue on some PCs.

Thanks
