Import server list into Remote Desktops

AlleyKat

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to import a list of machine
names into the Remote Desktops MMC. I seems you can export to a txt
file from the Action menu but it would be really useful to be able to
import a list of servers or even reorganise the order in which they
appear on the left without having to delete them and add them back.
I'm constantly adding new boxes and find that I have a random list of
servers in no logical order. Any ideas appreciated. Al

Try one of the Terminal Services groups, perhaps--folks here (me, at least!)
tend to ignore the MMC in favor of individual .RDP files and the Remote
Desktop executable. The RDP files can be named and organized anyway you
wish.

microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services

might be a good one.

Save the MMC to a file (i.e., rd.msc). This will remember the entries
in the console... At least on mine.. :)
