Import pst files from Outlook 2000

Hi,

I have installed Vista and want to import my mails from Outlook 2000 in Win
Mail. After choosing import/mail/outlook I get an error concerning a MAPI
client.

Any idea's how to solve this problem, doing a websearch does not give me
much hope.

Thanks for (trying to) helping me out here.

Should have exported them to Outlook Express first then from OE to WinMail.

Versions of Outlook 2002 (XP) have been reported to not work on Vista.

I'm not sure of your validity with XP (2002) PST files not working on Vista.
However, you can try simply copying the PST file and use that instead of
creating a new one and importing.

I assume by importing you actually tried copying your old PST file to the
new Vista machine, then tried adding the PST to your data files list, then
made that the default and added your accounts to Outlook. If not, try that
(I did, and it worked, but was on Office 2007 on XP prior).

MAPI is a type of account, so it would seem your account setting are off,
not the PST file.

Download the trial version of Outlook 2007, set it to use that PST file and
then import.

Question: if i try to download the free trail version of office 2007, it asks
for an adress in the USA; it appears that you cannot fill out an adress in
Europe. Does anyone know how to deal with that?
