Import mpg error message

Just got my nice new Sony DCR-SR90E video camera with hard disk. It records
movies in .mpg format. The clips are easily downloaded to my computer. When
I try to import them to Moviemaker, it starts the import andthen stops with a
strangled error message:

C:\Documents and Settings\Tony\Desktop\M2U00002.MPG could not be imported.
An interface has too many methods to fire events from

Any ideas?

Try click capture video from device and that should work. Also i think
moviemaker doesn't support mpeg although i may be wrong.
