Quite easy if you have adequate pieces of software. You could for instance:

1) Extract the MPEG content of your DAT file using the "Mjpegtools" of
VCDEasy (http://www.vcdeasy.org/)

2) Convert your MPEG file to an AVI file using the "Ouput to file" option of
TMPGEnc (http://www.tmpgenc.net), provided (if your MPEG file is MPEG2) you
have installed the VFAPI plugin that reads MPEG-2 files in TMPGEnc
(available on http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/tmpgenc.html).

3) Import the avi file in MM2.

Another, an more direct, solution, would be to install an mpeg2 decoder
compatible with MM2. Informations on that can be found on PapaJohn's
Website: http://www.papajohn.org > Importing source files > Vidéo > MPEG2.
